How long have you been in hairdressing?
Why did you choose to be a hairdresser?
Inspiration from my mother. She was a hairdresser in Vienna. Her 2 sisters were also hairdressers, so must be a talent in the family. Enjoyed cutting all my dolls hair off as a child.
What do you like most about being a hairdresser?
Love the stylists, client relationship – interacting with many different people over the years. Making a difference so that the client leaves the salon ‘looking & feeling fantastic’. Love all the rewards and challenges of running my own team.
What do you specialise in, i.e., colour, hair-up?
Colour and long hair up.
What do you like about working for Zappas?
Zappas have a great team spirit and a ‘family’ atmosphere, nice environment – offering a very high quality service.
What/who motivates you?
Being my own salon director and watching the team grow & progress through training – very rewarding and motivating. I motivate myself with positive thinking, I love challenges and I love learning about the industry and life in general.
What/who influences you?
Gordon Ramsey – I love his passion, drive and energy within his industry. I take my hat off to all parents – hardest job ever and a childs creative imagination.
What courses and qualifications in hairdressing have you achieved?
Being in the industry for 27 years I have been very fortunate to attend many courses but the most recent qualification I have achieved is the L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree which I now also run, with Honey Dorey, the in-salon Colour Degree Training course for all our stylists.
