My stylist, Chloe, was patient, attentive, and absolutely amazing at what she does. She kindly suggested a haircut that would suit my face shape, and the result was beautifully done. I had decided I needed a restyle and despite my usual stylist being unavailable, Zappas were great at fitting me in with another stylist. My hair has a mind of it's own so I'm sure it was a challenge. Chloe was patient, methodical and professional listening to my wishes and did a great job. She offered that I could come back if I needed any adjustments, so I did a couple of days later. I've had lots of compliments and am really happy with my restyle.

Haven’t been to the hairdressers for 15+ years, so was very anxious, I had highlights done by Chloe and another colleague and they really cared about getting it right for me. Chloe was lovely and spent a long time on me today. Added bonus was my 6 year old having the time of her life amongst the team! I was able to take my laptop and work also. A really lovely bunch who know their stuff.

Chloe and her team did an amazing jobs looking after my 7 year old daughter who has sensory issues with loud noises. They reassure her that they’d only do a brush, straighten and cut and not a wash and blow dry. (Which upsets her) came in crying, walked out smiling with a lollipop! I have been bringing my daughter to Zappas on bean oak road for a few years now. Kristy usually styles her hair and with year 11 prom coming up we were looking for something extra and so we were introduced to Chloe. For 6 hours Chloe transformed my daughters hair and gave her exactly what she needed to feel as special as shes always been in her mothers completely biased opinion. From brunette to black with hot pink stripes. Chloe you're fantastic! C is still smiling. Thank you for that. Also whilst I patiently waited Georgia went to work on my unruly locks. We both left feeling as light as air. Staff friendly, helpful, accommodating and will keep you hydrated and then you'll leave looking amazing. Zappas on bean oak road. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
A massive thank you to Chloe at Zappas on Bean Oak Road! Chloe is incredibly knowledgeable and her communication is always clear and thoughtful. As someone who is Autistic, I’ve often found salons overwhelming, but Chloe is exceptionally accommodating—she checks if I’m comfortable where I’m sitting and regularly asks if I’m feeling okay. That level of care is something I’ve never experienced before, and it truly means the world to me. Even when I struggle to express myself clearly, she always understands exactly what I want. I hadn’t been to a salon in over 8 years due to my neurodivergent needs, but Chloe has made me feel so safe and welcome. On top of all that, her haircuts and colouring are amazing. I have already rebooked for a fourth visit. Chloe is truly a gem!
I’ve just come back from having 3/4 head highlights, a cut and style all by the wonderful Chloe. After a bit of a rough start to 2025 and being 8 months pregnant, my confidence hasn’t been at its usual level. From beginning to end, Chloe was super friendly and extremely accommodating with making sure I was always comfortable. I went in to the salon not feeling my best self and have come out with a few tears in my eyes - Chloe has completely reignited the spark I used to have for myself and I’m back in love with my hair. I cannot fault a single member of the beanoak team, everyone is so friendly. Chloe ~ it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and have you do my hair, you’re truly an asset to the team. My hair’s never felt so soft and I’m so incredibly happy with how it looks, thank you so much! ❤️
I've been going to Zappas now about 6 months and extremely happy with the service. They're not only so transparent with their prices (which i love and need in a hair salon), but the prices are quite reasonable for the products used and the service you get. Chloe is a top class hair stylist and highly recommended her for highlights.
First time with Chloe..who straight away put me right at ease. She did a great job, box cut at the back..I had some special treatment on my hair and it made my hair unbelievably soft..and I mean soft it was gorgeous..can't recommend her highly enough..she was just brilliant. Booked to go again as I'm very confident in Chloes capabilities and I like the checks the senior stylist do..nothing condescending.. just great advice and you can tell they want them to succeed..which is just what you want to hear..if you get a chance.ask for a junior to do your hair you won't be disappointed with🤗😚😄

Amazing service -100 STARS! I felt totally pampered, spoilt and looked after. The atmosphere is very relaxed and luxurious and the quality of hairdressing is top-class. Jess listened really carefully and made expert suggestions for the cut and colour which looked great. She taught me what to do to maintain the look in between appointments and they offer a fantastic colour touch-up service which is superb value. Jess, Chloe and Talley were all absolutely brilliant. They also have offers to help you reduce the cost. Highly recommended. I enjoyed my experience here immensely and I'm looking forward to going back 🙂

Katie was so welcoming as soon as I came into the salon. I’d had a different hairdresser the past few times so didn’t know what Katie would be like but she was great. Really attentive and listened to my needs about my hair. Made me feel relaxed and I left feeling great about my hair, she cut my fringe perfectly and did a nice curly blow dry which I loved. Definitely would book to have my hair done by her again 🙂

Ellie has been cutting my hair for over a year now. She is an amazing hair dresser. Always listens to what you want and gives great advice. I have fine hair and she knows exactly what to do with it. Bonus is she’s super lovely! Bean oak salon gives you a great experience with choices of drinks and massage chairs while your hair is being washed. I’m based in North London so time my visits to Berkshire around my hair appts! It’s worth the drive!

I’ve been seeing Sue (supported by the lovely trainees Lauren and Ellie), for sometime now to correct a colour issue with my hair. The team are always welcoming, professional and are helping me get there with my colour – I knew it would be a long process (daily dog walking doesn’t help), but they have given me many tips, tricks and recommendations to look after the colour. If you too have a colour issue, I strongly recommend taking to Sue!

Went back to Shelly a week after my perm as although I loved my hair after the first cut/perm I couldn’t quite get used to the longer length (as agreed at the time) - she very obligingly took another inch off today at no extra cost - what excellent customer service love the salon and the staff are great x Fully recommend x

Zappas was wonderful. I came for a haircut for the first time, and a colour correction. The owner Steve is charming and accommodating, Shelley helped with my colour and worked wonders on my yellow tinted hair, and Nadia gave me the best cut and layers I’ve had in years. All around the staff were so lovely and will definitely be going back 🫶
Fab hairdressers, been going for about 4 years. Shelley always does my hair, she is so friendly and amazing with understanding what I need. She takes such care yo make the colour just what I ask for. Would recommend this company to anyone. Sure you can probably get cheaper but you get what you pay for !

I have visited other hairdressers but have found that Zappa’s really know what they are doing and give good honest advice not just trying to sell you products. I had quite long hair and wanted a change so Shelley suggested a shoulder length cut which would give my hair a lot more body but also make a noticeable change without being too drastic. I will definitely be coming back, cannot recommend Shelley more highly she really knows what’s she’s doing.

I travel from Surrey to see Cassie! She was recommended by my sister who also has her hair done by Cassie. Cassie is a genius when it comes to getting the perfect brown shade for dark hair (black/dark dark brown). My hair colour never goes orange, she gets it spot on each time. And of course Cassie is the kindest and most sweetest lady! I won’t trust anyone else with my hair!

I have had my hair cut in Zappas in Caversham for a couple of years now. I always have my hair cut by Casey, who is so lovely. Casey always listens to you and confirms your hair goals each and everytime you visit before she washes and cuts your hair. She has helped me get my hair to a really healthy place over the last year after my hair had become dry and brittle following highlights at another salon. I highly recommend booking in with Casey. The salon is always clean and welcoming and has a great range of professional hair care products. I like to have my hair cut, blow dried and finished with a soft wave. Each time Casey has recommended hair masks and treatments that are applied at the hair washing and finishing stage which I believe have helped to improve my hair health. What an amazing experience as I was greeted by the lovely Marieella on my first visit to salon and then to my lovely consultant Casey (Really delightful). I was treated fabulously with a full consultation, beverages, massage and a fabulous hair cut. I have crazy curly hair and was impressed at the time of booking that I was paired with Casey as she truly understands my hair. I went to Zappas yesterday morning for a cut and finish - Casey was incredible. So friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted. My bouncy blow dry still looks how it did when I left the salon! Will definitely be back 😁

I’ve never had my hair highlighted before and so Jody sat and talked through with me about what I wanted and explained what she was going to do , she discussed all way through what she was doing so I felt comfortable with what she was doing as I did fell a bit nervous before . I loved the whole experience from start to end I’m definitely coming back as been to other salons not very often and never felt comfortable as I did yesterday so thank you so much . I love my hair
I honestly can’t recommend Jody highly enough. She’s such a talented and skilled hairdresser, and she’s been amazing throughout my cancer journey. Growing your hair back after chemo is emotional, It comes back differently and feels so precious. Jody just gets it. She knows exactly how to shape and care for post-chemo hair and handles it with such sensitivity and care. I always leave feeling more like myself again, and I’m so grateful to have her.

As always I come out of Zappas very happy. Jody is excellent, she will give recommendations but always goes with what I want. She does a wonderful job of both cutting and colouring. I've had my hair cut by Billie and Jody and both times I've left the salon absolutely beaming - I love their work that much! I usually leave hairdressers feeling a bit meh and recently made the mistake of trying a different hairdresser. SO glad I ended up back at Zappas! The stylists here understand hair and understand their clients - I have always felt completely listened to which makes such a difference. Can't wait to come back!
I have used Zappas for awhile now and I have never been let down by them. Always friendly and courteous. Booking is available online which is extremely convenient. My particular hair dresser 'Jody' is absolutely amazing but all the staff are lovely. I've never really enjoyed having my haircut but I look forward to it now.

The Twyford salon is lovely - spacious and clean and the staff are so nice. Always a friendly greeting and offered something to drink. On my latest visit I decided to have some colour put into my grey hair, so went for copper & gold highlights. Delighted with the result Bronwyn has achieved! Definitely recommend this salon

I had very dry, hay-like hair and wanted a good trim and some styling, but I wasn’t really sure what style would suit me. I decided to give Zappas a try, and I’m so glad I did! My stylist, Chloe, was patient, attentive, and absolutely amazing at what she does. She kindly suggested a haircut that would suit my face shape, and the result was beautifully done. I had decided I needed a restyle and despite my usual stylist being unavailable, Zappas were great at fitting me in with another stylist. My hair has a mind of it's own so I'm sure it was a challenge. Chloe was patient, methodical and professional listening to my wishes and did a great job. She offered that I could come back if I needed any adjustments, so I did a couple of days later. I've had lots of compliments and am really happy with my restyle.

Haven’t been to the hairdressers for 15+ years, so was very anxious, I had highlights done by Chloe and another colleague and they really cared about getting it right for me. Chloe was lovely and spent a long time on me today. Added bonus was my 6 year old having the time of her life amongst the team! I was able to take my laptop and work also. A really lovely bunch who know their stuff.

I have been bringing my daughter to Zappas on bean oak road for a few years now. Kristy usually styles her hair and with year 11 prom coming up we were looking for something extra and so we were introduced to Chloe. For 6 hours Chloe transformed my daughters hair and gave her exactly what she needed to feel as special as shes always been in her mothers completely biased opinion. From brunette to black with hot pink stripes. Chloe you're fantastic! C is still smiling. Thank you for that. Also whilst I patiently waited Georgia went to work on my unruly locks. We both left feeling as light as air. Staff friendly, helpful, accommodating and will keep you hydrated and then you'll leave looking amazing. Zappas on bean oak road. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

As someone who is Autistic, I’ve often found salons overwhelming, but Chloe is exceptionally accommodating—she checks if I’m comfortable where I’m sitting and regularly asks if I’m feeling okay. That level of care is something I’ve never experienced before, and it truly means the world to me. Even when I struggle to express myself clearly, she always understands exactly what I want. I hadn’t been to a salon in over 8 years due to my neurodivergent needs, but Chloe has made me feel so safe and welcome. On top of all that, her haircuts and colouring are amazing. I have already rebooked for a fourth visit. Chloe is truly a gem!
I’ve just come back from having 3/4 head highlights, a cut and style all by the wonderful Chloe. After a bit of a rough start to 2025 and being 8 months pregnant, my confidence hasn’t been at its usual level. From beginning to end, Chloe was super friendly and extremely accommodating with making sure I was always comfortable. I went in to the salon not feeling my best self and have come out with a few tears in my eyes - Chloe has completely reignited the spark I used to have for myself and I’m back in love with my hair. I've been going to Zappas now about 6 months and extremely happy with the service. They're not only so transparent with their prices (which i love and need in a hair salon), but the prices are quite reasonable for the products used and the service you get. Chloe is a top class hair stylist and highly recommended her for highlights.
First time with Chloe..who straight away put me right at ease. She did a great job, box cut at the back..I had some special treatment on my hair and it made my hair unbelievably soft..and I mean soft it was gorgeous..can't recommend her highly enough..she was just brilliant. Booked to go again as I'm very confident in Chloes capabilities and I like the checks the senior stylist do..nothing condescending.. just great advice and you can tell they want them to succeed..which is just what you want to hear..if you get a chance.ask for a junior to do your hair you won't be disappointed with🤗😚😄

Amazing service -100 STARS! I felt totally pampered, spoilt and looked after. The atmosphere is very relaxed and luxurious and the quality of hairdressing is top-class. Jess listened really carefully and made expert suggestions for the cut and colour which looked great. She taught me what to do to maintain the look in between appointments and they offer a fantastic colour touch-up service which is superb value. Jess, Chloe and Talley were all absolutely brilliant. They also have offers to help you reduce the cost. Highly recommended. I enjoyed my experience here immensely and I'm looking forward to going back 🙂
