Quick Hairstyles for the Beach – Zappas Hair Salons, Berkshire & Hampshire
A day at the beach can play havoc with your hair which is why we’ve come up with some quick and easy hairstyles for you to try!
There are so many hair styles which look amazing for the beach, and with the arrival of summer, you can easily recreate them at home. All you need to start with is a fabulous hair cut and colour so book your appointment now by calling your local Zappas salon using the links below:
Plaited Summer Hairstyles
Plaits are absolutely fab when it comes to getting that boho vibe; plus they keep your hair out of your face when you’re contending with that sea breeze.
There’s also the added bonus that when you take them out, you’ll have beach waves to die for, without spending hours with a curling iron and drying out your locks.
Wear your plait in whatever style you fancy. It can be high on the crown, a low side-plait, two braids or even a halo braid if you’re feeling adventurous!
Top Knot Hairstyles for Summer
Top knots are a perfect way to get your hair out of your face and they’re SO easy to create.
Brush your hair and pull it up into a ponytail at the crown, securing it with a band. Then twist your hair around until it turns into a little knot. Secure with a second band.
An alternative method is to loop your ponytail and tie it at the base – as you can see fro the image, left.
If the mood takes you, why not go for two top knots for a change?
Summer Hairstyles – High & Low Ponytails
There are so many choices when it comes to ponytails, and all you really need is a brush and a good hair tie.
High ponytails are fab for making your cheekbones look really high, which is especially good if it’s simply too hot to contour!
Low ponytails are the ultimate in low-maintenance, so they’re great for beach trips.
For a cool night-time look that’s quick and easy, wear your ponytail low and to one side. Maybe add a few waves to it using your styling wand.
Summer Hair Accessories
If all else fails, try covering up your hair. There are lots of pretty hair accessories out there but one of the best cover-ups is, of course, the good old hat or scarf.
These will keep the sun off your hair, which stops your locks losing their colour and becoming too dry.
Slicked Back Hair for Summer
If your hair is wild and unruly or you’re planning on spending lots of time in the pool or sea, try out a slicked back hairstyle.
It gets your hair out of your way, and it can look pretty sophisticated.
